'Yellowstone' Season 5 Part 2 Premieres Nov. 10

The second half of Yellowstone Season 5 is finally set to premiere on Sunday, November 10, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Paramount Network. The highly anticipated episodes will continue the saga of the Dutton family, who control the largest contiguous cattle ranch in the United States. Amid ongoing conflict with neighboring forces—such as an expanding town, an Indian reservation, and Yellowstone National Park—the Duttons' future is uncertain. Fans can expect more drama, power struggles, and emotional twists in the series’ final chapters.

Kevin Costner, who has played the family patriarch, John Dutton III, for five seasons, will not return for the second half of Season 5. This follows an announcement made earlier in June when Costner confirmed his departure from the series. Although his exit has left fans wondering about the fate of John Dutton, the show will move forward without him, sticking to its original narrative direction despite his premature departure. The shift marks a pivotal moment for the series as it heads toward its conclusion.

While John Dutton’s fate remains a closely guarded secret, the new episodes will focus on shifting family dynamics and escalating tensions. Kelly Reilly, who plays Beth Dutton, teased that her character’s journey will take a darker turn. With her father’s fate hanging in the balance, Beth will be pushed to her limits, leading her to unleash a fierce, vengeful side. “What’s that going to do to this woman? It’s going to turn her into a hurricane,” Reilly explained, hinting at a fiery transformation for Beth as she seeks justice.

The premiere of Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2 will be available on Paramount Network, but it won’t be streamed on Paramount+. To watch the episodes, viewers will need to sign in through their TV provider on the Paramount Network app. Past seasons of Yellowstone, however, can be streamed on Peacock. Internationally, the show will also premiere in Canada on Paramount+ on Nov. 10, followed by the U.K. on Nov. 11, with other countries to follow.

Kevin Costner’s departure from Yellowstone has sparked widespread interest, and he addressed his exit in a heartfelt video posted to social media in June. In the video, he told fans he wouldn’t be returning for the remainder of the season and explained that he had simply reached a point where continuing wasn’t realistic. “I just wanted to let you know that I won’t be returning,” he said, explaining that he no longer felt it was possible to keep holding out hope for a return.

Costner elaborated further in interviews, revealing that there was no single moment or specific event that triggered his decision. Rather, it was a growing realization that his time on Yellowstone had come to an end. While the actor acknowledged the significance of his role, he emphasized that it was time for him to move on, saying, “Whatever I’d hoped for maybe was not in the cards. But I’m not a person that leaves people high and dry.” Despite Costner’s departure, Yellowstone will continue to deliver the dramatic twists and powerful storytelling that fans have come to expect.
