Sean “Diddy” Combs is set to appeal a federal judge’s decision to deny him bail on Wednesday afternoon, following his not guilty plea to charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation for prostitution. Until the appeal, Combs is being held in solitary confinement at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.

The 54-year-old hip-hop mogul was arrested at the Park Hyatt Hotel in Manhattan amid ongoing sexual assault lawsuits and a federal investigation into human trafficking. If convicted, he faces a potential life sentence.

Prosecutors allege that Combs operated a “criminal enterprise” through his business, engaging in various crimes, including sexual abuse and forced labor. They claim he threatened and coerced women for over a decade, hosting drug-fueled parties and committing acts of violence. During a detention hearing, prosecutors labeled him a "serial abuser" and cited concerns about his reaching out to witnesses.

Combs’ defense argues he should be released on home detention with a $50 million bond, stating he plans to fight the charges in court. His attorney insists that the relationships involved were consensual and that Combs has taken steps to avoid fleeing.

The bail appeal is crucial for Combs, as a denial would keep him in custody while awaiting trial. His attorney expressed confidence in his innocence, insisting Combs intends to go to trial.
