Though the specific details of her injury were not disclosed, a spokesperson said she is receiving “excellent” treatment from medical professionals.

Pelosi's injury occurred as she was participating in the events of the CODEL (Congressional Delegation) trip, which was meant to honor the courage of American servicemembers during one of the most significant military engagements in U.S. history. Her office indicated that, despite the injury, she continues to work and is committed to fulfilling her duties, even though she will miss the remainder of the trip’s engagements.

The congresswoman expressed regret about her inability to participate in the remaining activities of the delegation. “She looks forward to returning home to the U.S. soon,” said spokesperson Ian Krager.
